Blue coloured cloth boards with self embossed decoration and publisher's logo to the front book panel, decoration to the backstrip and to the rear book panel and gilt titles to the backstrip. Light blue coloured tint to the top text block edge. Bumping and rubbing to the backstrip edges and to the book corners. Fading and discolouration to the other book edges and some flecking to the book panels. Rubbing to the book panels and there is fading to the length of the rear cover, 0.25 ". The light blue coloration to the top text block edge is faded and in some parts non-existent. Browning and foxing to the text block edges, endpapers and to the internal text. The spine has cracked between page 370 and 371, underlying webbing is visible. Plain text dustwrapper, with yellow background, with white decoration and publisher's logo to the front panel and black titles to the front panel and backstrip. Rubbing and chipping, with, in some cases, considerable loss, to the dustwrapper corners, and backstrip edges. Multiple tears to the top dustwrapper edge and heavy creasing and rubbing to the dustwrapper panels. Sunning of the backstrip. A previous owner has attempted to repair one of the major tears with tape, to the verse of the dustwrapper, tape still in situ. Clipping of the dustwrapper, front fold over, lower right-hand corner.
