The text is illustrated with numerous black and white photographs, the occasional colour photograph and black and white illustrations and patterns. Red coloured boards with gilt titles to the backstrip. A little bumping and rubbing to the backstrip edges and book corners. Dust marks to the top text block edge. On the rear endpapers there has been something damp applied which has caused bubbling on the rear paste-down which has ghosted to the rear endpaper, and the effects can be seen to page 184. There is a crack in the rear hinge measuring 4 inches. Photographic dustwrapper, with orange background and red titles to the front panel and backstrip. Rubbing and creasing to the dustwrapper edges and a few marks to the dustwrapper panels. Browning and foxing to the top edge of the verso of the dustwrapper.
