"Cooking with Nina is not just a book of Russian recipes. Its description of Russian people, Russian ways, Russian festivals creates a feeling essentially Russian; yet it is intended to be used as a cooking manual as well as a bedside book. Concentrating on everyday recipes rather than restaurant creations, the authors have selected dishes that can be made outside Russia without loss of authenticity." - From the front fold over panel blurb.
