IV, 64 pages, last page blank. Coloured illustrated frontispiece, illustrator not credited. Within the text there are another three full-page coloured illustrations, again illustrator not credited but obviously done by the same hand as the style is very similar. Illustrated front cover, with red background and green and black titles to the front panel. Red coloured backstrip. Bumping, rubbing and chipping in to the book corners, underlying board visible. Bumping and rubbing to the head and to the heel of the backstrip and there had been a few small punches of the cloth along its length. Shelf wear to the top and bottom edges, with underlying board visible. Heavy rubbing and scuffing to the edges of the book, though the front panel illustration is in remarkably good condition. On the rear book panel is a advertisement for " Fry's Pure Breakfast Cocoa ". The back panel shows heavy foxing, staining and moisture marks. Browning and foxing to the endpapers and the front and rear hinges have split. Gift plate to the free front end paper. Internally the pages are slightly brown and foxing is scattered throughout. ] The illustrations, though, are clean and bright. The frontispiece illustration, unfortunately, has started to come away from the text block from the lower edge for 7 inches. A book put out in the Edwardian period ( women's dresses and vehicles in illustrations ) about how prayer can bring you happiness. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
