The text is illustrated with numerous coloured and black-and-white photographs, and the occasional cartoon all black and white illustration. Green coloured boards with navy blue titles to the backstrip. A little bumping to the head and to the heel of the backstrip and rubbing to the book corners. Shelf wear to the lower book edges. Browning and scattered foxing to the top text block edge and lighter browning to the other text book edges. Light browning to the endpapers and darker browning to the front fore edge of the free front in paper. Like age timing to the internal pages. Photographic dustwrapper, with yellow, all white and blue titles to the front panel and yellow and white to the backstrip. On the rear dustwrapper panel is a reproduction of a caricature by H.F. Crowther-Smith of famous cricketers of 1921. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners. Rubbing and creasing both the top and bottom dustwrapper edges. Some marking of the laminate of the dustwrapper panel. The laminate has started to lift on the lower edge of the rear dustwrapper panel. There is a small piece of adhered paper to the lower left-hand corner of the front fold over panel. This book was put out just prior to the first one-day international cricket series held in England. It gives a profile of the major, and not so major, cricketing countries, an explanation of the Art of Cricket -- fielding, fast bowling, wicket-keeping etc, and other historical information for the cricket fan.
