Dark blue coloured cloth with gilt titles to the back strip. Dark blue coloured tint to the top text block edge. A novel by that quintessential Englishman -- Evelyn Waugh. Softening and rubbing to the head and to the heel of the back strip and to the book corners. The lower book edge shows wear. Slight cocking to the spine. Rubbing, slight fading and marking to the book panels. Very noticeable browning and foxing to the text block edges. Offset tanning, browning and foxing to the endpapers. The first few pages of the book are quite markedly foxed and the last few pages are very lightly foxed. The internal pages themselves are moderately brown. This is the first UK edition.
