200 g.; 64 pp., acknowledgements and bibliography. Endpapers are illustrated with a map of the ruins of Port Arthur. Twenty-nine black and white illustrations by Arthur Phillips, illustrate the text. Light green spine with green and white mottled boards, and white writing on the spine. The corners are slightly worn and there is shelf wear evident to the bottom edges of the book. Illustrated dustwrapper, again by Arthur Phillips, with light green background and white writing on the front panel. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and to the head and to the heel of the back strip. The top back strip edge has also had multiple small tears which have in the past been repaired inexpertly with tape. Tape residue still evident. There is also tape repaired to the top right-hand corner of the front panel, again, tape residue still visible. There has been also a rough removal of the tape and the dustwrapper is scuffed. Fading and rubbing to the dustwrapper has also occurred. A walk through the Port Arthur penal site and the history that surrounds it. This is the first Australian edition.
