Softening to the top spine edge and very minor rubbing to the book corners. Dust marks, browning and foxing to the paper edges. Offset tanning, browning and foxing to the endpapers with browning of the pages. Rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners and to the head and to the heel of the spine. In fact the entire dustwrapper suffers from heavy rubbing. There is a 0.25 " tear to the top rear dust wrapper edge with associated creasing. Fading of the spine, to the point where the red of the writing has faded to almost white. Browning and very faint foxing to the verso of the dustwrapper. This is the first UK edition.
