XXVIII, 126pp., last page advertisement. Dark blue boards with paper insert on spine with black writing. Dark blue decoration on front panel. Bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine and to the book corners. A few marks to the front and back panels. Browning and foxing to the paper edges. Foxing to the endpapers along with grubby marks and an erasure mark on the top right-hand corner of the free front endpaper. Original bookseller's sticker to the lower right-hand corner of the front paste down. Plain text dustwrapper, pale bone in colour, with black writing on the spine. The corners of the dustwrapper are rubbed and chipped as are the head and the heel of the spine. There is slight loss of dustwrapper paper to the head and to the heel of the spine. There is a 1.5 " tear to the top rear spine gutter edge with associated creasing. Foxing and grubby marks are present on the dustwrapper and sun damage has occurred to the spine. Essays submitted to the Royal Society of Literature of the United Kingdom in the 1940s. Some contributors being Lod Dunsany, Joseph Bard and Lawrence Housman. Size: 8vo - over 7�" - 9�" tall.
