Black and white illustrated frontispiece, by author, "The Drums of War". Within the text there are another 14 black and white illustrations by the author. Illustrated front cover, again by the author, showing an eagle with a air force cap, with buff coloured background and the writing on the front panel. Scuffling to the book edges and to the spine of the book and there has been some darkening due to sun damage. Some rubbing along the spine. On the title page there is an inscription from Lynette Young Sainte saying "To Terry H. Lee from Lynette Young and the memory of the author Tarlton Rayment".
