VII, 254pp., last two blank, preface by author, index. Dark red board with gilt writing on the spine. The corners of the book are slightly rubbed and the bottom 2 are slightly bumped. Bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine, and there is slight fading to the cloth nearest the top spine gutter. Browning to the paper edges and previous owners stamp on the ffep. Plain text dust wrapper, with blue and white background with red, blue and white writing on the front panel and spine. Dust wrapper is rubbed and faded, fading particularly noticeable on spine. Chipping has occurred to the corners and to the top and bottom dust wrapper edges. There has been a loss of dust wrapper near the top spine gutter due to chipping. Dust wrapper is price clipped on the front fold over, bottom of right-hand corner.
