The text is copiously illustrated with black and white and colour photographs, colour and black and white illustrations, and tables. Laminated pictorial boards, with yellow, black & white writing front panel and yellow and white on spine. The story of Sydney Harbour from, pre European arrival through to the present day (1980s), shown through contemporary prints, photographs and text. The corners are slightly rubbed otherwise no deficits of note. Inserted loosely into the book is a poster size print of the illustration on endpapers.
