The text is illustrated with either black and white photography or coloured illustrations done by the author. Endpapers illustrated by a map, showing area where the author grew up. Brown coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Corners are somewhat rubbed, the bottom being worse than the top. The head and the heel of the spine are also rubbed. Illustrated dustwrapper, by author, with blue background and white coloured titles to the front panel and black colour titles to the backstrip. The dustwrapper is a little faded and there is some minimal rubbing along the top and bottom dustwrapper edges.
