Part of the American Guide Series created by the Works Progress Administration during the Depression to give work to unemployed writers and photographers. Photos here by Arthur Rothstein and other great Farm Security Administration photographers including Russell Lee. Dust jackets for this series can be hard to find, especially with the price intact on the front flap. Condition of this book: Near fine with ordinary age toning, in a good jacket with chips at extremities, soiling and darkening at spine and rear panel. Preserved in Brodart. Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact.
