DAVIDSON, BRUCE. East 100th Street, Cambridge: Harvard University Press, 1970. Square quarto, first simultaneous wrappered edition, pp. 130, 123 duotones. See Parr & Badger, Vol. 2, Page 18. Davidson's extensive effort documented a Harlem neighborhood with the help of a cumbersome, large-format view camera, radically different equipment from the handy little 35mm jobs his peers were using. The result is a lot of posed photos that somehow work, although Parr & Badger find the nudes jarring. 4-inch chunk missing from spine ,front hinge cracked, age toning throughout, images fine. Good deal for those who simply want the photos. Size: Quarto. 130. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. . Quantity Available: 1.
