Also typical of Ricci, the text is printed on a rough blue-green stock. Wendingen ran from 1918 to 1931 and was a leader in the modern design movement that swept Europe in the 1920s, using artists that included El Lissitsky, E.J. Kuipers and many lesser known designers. The present book includes a general index to all 108 issues of Wendingen summarizing the contents and identifying each cover designer. All 108 covers are reproduced on individual color plates.
