Octavo, pirated from a London edition (first was 1759), pp. viii, 514; 487, 47 (dissertation on King Henry's murder), 44 (index), frontis engravings, full contemporary calf with brown and red morocco labels on spines each with six compartments stamped with gilt lettering and decoration. This edition, either the first or one of the first out of Dublin, is not mentioned in Lowndes Condition of these books: Boards wornbut sound with a chip at either end of V1 spine. Leaves clean and tight, both volumes have gift inscriptions on preliminary leaves. Overall very good. Size: Octavo (standard book size). 2-volume set (complete). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. All edges clean, neat and free of foxing.
