Size: 4to. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Previous owner's book-plate laid in on front end paper. Stated third edition. Full leather, engraved title page, fold-out two-page map, 309 pages, 45 engravings in the text. Bookplate of William Wakeling Boreham on front end paper. Lacks the fold-out panorama. Leather is worn, back strip missing except for about a 2 inch piece, boards taped together with tape that is worn and soiled, text block still connected to back cover, but separated from front cover except for a tiny strip of original binding; lacks front free end paper, interior has some staining mostly in blank margins, some pages loose, but all hanging together.
